Let me start this off by saying I do not know much about cars. I’ve been waiting to buy one for a year or two when I saw a car auction in my area pop up. I was sold a Hyundai Sonata 2006 for an extremely low price, with the listing stating that it “runs and drives great.” Test drive, it ran, and drove great. I dropped it off at a mechanic’s shop, of which is run by my fathers friend, and he tells me that he was dumbfounded at how good of a condition the car was in considering the price, until he... Hi all, Im considering purchasing the below car for $4,500. CARFAX shows 1 owner over the 14yrs, 76k miles, no accidents reported, and looks to be well maintained with regular servicing, oil changes, etc. The interior is very clean and fresh. Looks almost brand new honestly. Owner gave me the car for the night to drive and see if I like it. Drove for about 50 miles, no strange noises, seems to run smoothly. good acceleration. Brakes appear to be fine, etc. I'm taking to a mechanic tomorrow to ...
So recently my battery light popped on despite me replacing it about 3 weeks ago (my grandpa a former mechanic was in town and helped me out so it should be square), tonight on the way home from work all the lights shut off and all electronics went down. Thankfully I was only a block away from home and had plenty of space to pull over, the steering also felt wonky. The car won't start now and just makes a rattling noise but the lights come on. Originally I thought this was definitely a broken a...

So I did a oil change on my Saab 9-5 (engine B235E) I found seeping around the serpentine belt area. Wanting a detailed list of each pulley does what with labels. Also for fun found oil intake. So I might do a PCV replacement. So I was trying to install a new serpentine belt on my 2013 Sonata with the 2.4 liter but the new belt seems a little too short. I know that the current belt will stretch but is there an easy way to get the new belt on correctly. I used a 17mm wrench to adjust the tensioner pulley but I still cannot seem to get the new belt on even with the tensioner being completely backed off. It is an OEM belt that I ordered off eBay. Any suggestions? So I have a 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt 4 Cylinders F 2.2L FI DOHC that I took to Jiffy Lube who said I needed my serpentine belt replaced. Knowing this was very likely an upsell I asked a 2nd opinion and was told it isn't gonna fall apart in a hundred miles but it will need to be replaced soon. This was a few months ago I am thinking I should go ahead and replace it now while the throttle body gets cleaned. So my concern come in where I am having a difficult time telling which belt to get. I had an...
2006 hyundai sonata 2.4 serpentine belt diagram. Hey guys, Very quick back story: I'm really inexperienced when it comes to vehicles (tech and IT was my passion) and I thought I'd trade in my 2011 Hyundai Elantra GLS for a new 2019 Sonata and take advantage of the cheap interest rates offered on financing (I was going to replace next year but figured I'd be an opportunist). The salesperson sold me on a 2019 Hyundai Sonata with 45km on board. It broke my heart a tiny bit when I noticed a little rattling from what seemed to come from in front ... Hi Reddit, So I got a Hyandai Sonata GLS 2006. All of a sudden, my right headlight is not working. Naturally, I checked all my fuses and swapped them out. Same for the relays. Also, same for the light bulb. All without any effect. Left light (driver) no problem at all, high beam does work on both lights. Personally afraid it might be a wiring issue. I did come up with a somewhat alternative solution, namely adding a fuse tap under the fuse box under the hood, use that fuse tap to wire the rig... But I’ve read that those don’t really go out very much my car has 144,000 miles on it, and it was driving fine until a couple of weeks ago, so you guys think it’s the power steering pump, or maybe something else ? I'm trying to change the serpentine belt on my vehicle and I can't get new or the old one on. I release the tension, followed the diagram and I'm way far from reaching any pulley. This is the same for both new and old belt. Am I doing something wrong? Or could it be a bigger problem?
Hey guys, I currently own a 2010 Hyundai Sonata GLS 4 cylinder 2.4 liter engine with error code P0304 which has to do with cylinder misfires. I know common repairs for this error code is changing the ignition coil, spark plug, and fuel injectors. With that being said I have changed cylinder 4 ignition coil and inspected all 4 spark plugs from what I see the tips seem to be fine. However, the previous owner before me didn’t have the owners manual. So long story short I would like to know what are... Hello guys, my 2006 Hyundai Sonata is making a weird noise/tick but only when above 2.5k rpm and throttle between 1÷ to 15÷, so absolutely no noise under medium/heavy acceleration or going uphill, no noise idling or engine braking, but if the engine is above 2.5k rpm and I lightly press on the gas pedal there is a ticking noise that gets louder with rpm. It does this cold and hot. Should I be worried? What could this be? Thanks for the answers in advance! Engine: 2.4L G4KC (Theta I) Manual trans... Has anybody got a serpentine belt diagram? I've just bought an abarth insurance write off, looking to bring it back to life. Alternator isn't charging and power steering stops after a few minutes after ignition, which lends me to thinking there's a problem with the belt? Hi Reddit, So I got a Hyandai Sonata GLS 2006.
